Please note that your soap may be very fresh upon arrival. It should be stored in open air in LOW humidity.  It can be used immediately and will continue to harden while in use. 

Please do not store in plastic as this type of soap needs to breathe. These are 98 - 100%  natural and do not contain UV inhibitors, artificial  color, stabilizers or preservatives.  They are made with primarily food grade oils and botanicals.

Large quantities should be stored in your freezer, (in paper bags after they have dried a bit longer) during periods of high humidity.  This is because our soap contains large amounts of glycerin, which is created during natural soap making.  Glycerin attracts water and moisture from the air!

We use robust wicks, so there is no "tunneling".

Long burning with a soft, noticeable but not overpowering scent. The wicks are very sturdy and all lids are metal.  We use a variety of essential oils and color.  Ideal wick height (1/4 to 1/3 inch) may vary between candles and batches, as well as environment.  

Your candle will burn completely with no leftover wax.

They can be extinguished with low smoke by blowing out and then quickly replacing the lid or simply replacing lid.

To maximize burn time, keep your wicks trimmed to approx 1/3 inch initially.  With each use, trim wick to 1/4 - 1/3 inch and burn at least until wax pool reaches all sides of the container. 

(Most candles have a "memory".)

Keep out of drafts while burning.

Clean spills with soap and water (unlike paraffin).

 Burn for up to 3-4 hours before resting, trim as needed. 

Some of these are not available in all mediums (soap, cream, perfume, spray milk etc.) due to precious nature of the oils.

Some require an extra 1 - 3 days to blend into your emulsion choice.

This will be an ongoing list!

Formulating with Organic Essential oils is a challenge because most that we use are not yet available. Using them in, for example, soap is not feasible due to the high volumes we use because of the nature of our soap and emulsions.  The companies who do so use a finite set of oils, which limits possibilities for blending. There is also a labeling challenge. Some of the essential oils that we use ARE Organic and we do not yet distinguish. 

With that said, we are very selective when creating a scent and choosing our oils. We do so only from reputable long-term suppliers, without really focusing on cost. 

We will compile and update a list of the essential oils that we use and their provenance as time permits.
